IEEE Establishes Haiti Fund
Valiant efforts continue in Haiti to alleviate suffering and provide basic human needs, yet other challenges lay ahead. One of these is re-establishing engineering and technology education and professional activities in Haiti. To help meet this challenge, IEEE has established the IEEE Haiti Engineering Educational and Professional Development Rebuilding Fund. It will match donations up to the first US$50,000 contributed. IEEE continues to encourage donations to relief organizations. But we are hopeful that the generosity of members and others will add to the long-term revitalization of Haiti through this IEEE fund.
